Its been a while since I last blogged on, and the last few months seem to have gone past without really being worth remarking about.
The YGF eventually went ahead in November, much reduced, as continuing ill health kept causing problems. I was very busy over winter, until I ran myself in to the ground and once again was ill, this time I was signed off sick and have yet to return to work – hopefully all will be sorted in the next few months, in the mean time we’re not attempting to put any more events on until the Fifth Anniversary York Ghost Festival in October/November of this year.
Back to YGF 2007: we returned to York Tyburn in somewhat less hospitable weather than last time, so much so that several members of the public pulled out. We went ahead anyway, when we managed to find a break in weather, but I have decided for the future that there is a time for putting on outdoor investigations, and that time is summer!
It was good to have Diana Jarvis back with us, and also our new medium in training, Miss E. Like our previous investigation there using purely scientific methods, there was very little to report back on – nice for them to correlate even if it was to say there wasn’t much there. Which is interesting in itself, given the amount of violent deaths there. Does this go to show that having the clergy there in the last moments means the souls do move on, or that there are no ghosts…? Discuss.
Remember: keep your equipment dry, and your coffee strong.
